E book

E book is a new things to me since I actually did not really know what is an e book is actually all about...I hear that word quite some time but quite blur about that ebook. But, for this PMEY 3102,I need to produce my own ebook..Wow!!!Another new knowledge for me,exactly!

As I peep into Wikipedia, ebook is define as :

"e-text that forms the digital media equivalent of a conventional printed book, sometimes protected with a digital rights management system.E-books are usually read on personal computers or smart phones, or on dedicated hardware devices known as e-book readers or e-book devices. Many mobile phones can also be used to read ebooks"...

So,it juz d same like the normal book that we read but it in the digital form which is power point.

Ebook has lots of advantages. For example, its allow animated images or multimedia clips to be embedded, easy to make it,easy to carried out(as it can juz be save in the pendrive)and lots more!In the classroom,e-book can be a very good teaching aids that teacher can used.I juz familiar with the big book before this but I think ebook is another good ideas.By using ebook, we can add sound,we can do it by ourselves which can suit our objectives and can edit it easily.Compared to big book, its cannot be included with sound or any movement.N of cos I will consider to used ebook in my future classroom.

Talking about the last class of my PBEY 3102,mdm Foziah gives us some info about and guidelines on how to produce ebook. For example, the characterization of ebook, setting, plot, theme components, criteria for selecting book and so on.From her lecture its made me have a clearer ideas about what it all about.Besides, madam Foziah also show us some examples of E-book that have been produced by her students. As for me as a future teacher,if I want to used ebook as teaching resources, I need to make sure that my ebook is suitable for children such as have a clear learning objective, interesting story for children, colourful, suitable fonts and pictures and so on...

The next part of class is for us to come out with a story board. But, because of I'm busy install my adobe photoshop to my laptop, so i'm become the last person who saw mdm Foziah to get the green light...And on dat day, I got the red light,so I need to redo it again...

Ermmmm...Actually,I got lots of things that I want to share about ebook...So,to be continued ya.....See u later...

Photolicious!

Hallo readers!

This week we learn about photo editing. I have been introduced to FX foto and Adobe Photoshop. During the class, madam Foziah show us example of few pictures that have been edited..I really fascinated with the picture that put Ella n Wu Chun together (which Mdm Foziah claim as her favourite actor n actress-correct d name of the actor n actress if I mistaken)…Its look like a real photo…However, its make me ponder about something..Look how we can easily deceive by the fake photos, people can do anything to a piece of photo...So, don’t juz easily believe what we see since it not 100% turn out to be true!

Besides, we are given the task to produce a picture with has been edited. Mdm Foziah has upload lots of tutorials in her skydrive which we can download it and make it as a reference .I find it’s really beneficial since its shows step by step on how to edit pictures using certain software such as FX foto and Adobe Photoshop.

Talking about photo, I really love photos …Its makes us remember about the moment that we go through our life. Before come to UM, I never tried any photo editing software and I did know what we really can do with photo editing software. However, this sem I have learned about photoscape for my technology subject...N I find that’s great! I love it! It friendly user which make it easy to use. We can enhance the pictures and add any effects that we want. Besides, we can combine a few pictures to become a foto.In my resources class, I learn about other software which is more advanced, FX foto n Adobe Photoshop which have more function but yet I think its quite complicated n difficult for me to use it...But, thanx mdm Foziah, 4 d tutorials, its do help me…N not to forget, thanx mdm Foziah to come 2 class eventhough you’re not well…Hope u’re not fall sick again,amiin..

Fuuhhh…Lots of tutorial need to be done! I must start it earlier or else the work will juz chop my sleeping time at the end of the semester…So, I think dats all for now...See u next time ya..

-Juz to share with u…This is the pictures dat I hv produce n upload in d photo bucket..Juz a trial..I edit a few pictures n combine it into a photo..Dis is my sister, my nephew n my brothers-in law…I love dis picture…

YEESSS!!!

Nothing much about 4th week which is more on discussion with group members for topic 2,3 and 4..N My group members are Farah, Zulhusni, Luqman and Fikri. This is due to the wireless which is not working on that time. So, we cannot do what we suppose to do as planned by Pn.Foziah.Ok, now, I juz want to share with you about part of our discussion last week which is about how the teacher check the understanding of the students.Actually, this subtopic is more on teacher checking the meaning of every words, but I would like to discuss about other ares that related to it...

Now, lets ask ourselves, especially during the SEP,Do we like to ask the pupils this question,"Do you understand class?" and everyone will answer "Yeesss"...They seems to understand what we taught to them, but do they really understand or they just love to replied,"Yesss" eventhough they are not understand?I just remembered an incident about my friend during her practicum whereby when she ask the pupils,"What is your ambition?", then they replied,"Yeess"...So, what is the conclusion from this incident? The pupils just answer "Yeesss" because its very easy to give that kind of answer and its not really show whether they understand or not...But, still lots of teacher love to ask such kind of quite ineffective questions to the pupils....Thus, what is the more effective and suitable questions and strategies that teacher should use to check pupils' understanding??

Actually, teacher can ask several specific questions to check pupils understanding which not just expect the "yeess" answer...Besides, by observing pupils' non verbal communication such as facial expression, body language and gestures, these will also reflect their understanding...For example, if they are frowning, they might feel confused.Teacher should be sensitive with whatever the children do.So, if the pupils show that they are not understand, teacher can repeat or rephrase what he/she have said before or straightly ask which part that they not really understand. These are the more appropriate ways to check their understanding.

I think that's all for now...can't wait to learn more from others discussion on the next class....
